Inspired by the curves of nature to create a striking architectural design, The Poppy offers luxurious accommodation for the discerning guest. The configuration is living and dining on the lower level, and sleeping in the Middle level. A roof top terrace takes full advantage of the natural surroundings. Blending into the natural surroundings, but also remarkable in its own right as a beautiful piece of architecture, perfectly balanced within its environment.
The open-plan living space is set over 2 levels. Throughout there is Scandinavian-inspired design with Industrial accents, creating a luxurious interior decorated with faux hides & natural materials. High-quality bed linens & soft furnishings will create a comforting yet stylish space. Cool whites & greys will be offset with warm wooden flooring, a feature wood burning stove and tactile furnishings.
The outdoor terrace has plenty of space for relaxing in deep comfortable seating, cooking al fresco and dining under the stars. This area it has its own sunken hot-tub, next to which there is a raised area for drinks and lamps to create the ultimate environment for guests to relax and unwind in the glade, enveloped in the sounds of the woodland.
Wide, retractable glazed doors access the main livening structure. A dramatic double-height space greets guests with a seating area and wood burning stove. With a fully fitted kitchen and dining area, plus a fold down bed which extends occupancy to 4 people, there are all the modern comforts which our clients would expect.
The middle level offers a luxurious master bedroom with views out into the woodland. Relax in the free-standing bath, or take a shower in the en-suite with a glazed opening door which lets in the sunlight for an indoor/outdoor feel. Plus there are his and her basins and a fully flushing toilet. From this level the occupants can look straight out from bed or bath into the surrounding woodland.
The signature feature, and highlight for many, is the roof-top deck - perched high amongst the trees at canopy level. Here guests can sit, socialise and recline on deep cushioned armchairs, loungers and all-weather beanbags. An integrated drinks fridge keeps the essentials chilled. Lamps to create the ultimate environment for guests to relax and unwind while at canopy level, enveloped in the sounds of the treetop. A rare and privileged setting. There's also an outdoor rooftop shower to allow guests private ablutions in the woodland while taking in the views.
There is hot & cold running water, electricity, an HD smartscreen with HDMI & USB connections, heating, WI-FI and a fully operational kitchen. We want guests to be able to enjoy the often temperamental British weather knowing there is a warm shower or bath and comfortable bed waiting for them when they return.
A spiral staircase leads up to the Middle Level, and then onwards up to the roof terrace.
The terraces and mezzanine level have unobtrusive yet safe balustrading; strong and substantial, high enough and close enough to protect small children. Fire and carbon monoxide alarms are fitted, and the log burner has a cool-glass safety window fitted to the front to protect guests.
